Delivery Information

Our standard charge is for delivery within 48 hours of dispatch (except some areas of Scotland) and covers mainland Great Britain (including the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Skye), the cost of which is:

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Isles of Scilly - £11.00
Other Scottish Islands (Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland, etc) - £11.95

By making our delivery costs transparent it enables us to keep the price for each item as low as possible - usually, when other companies offer 'free' delivery, the delivery charge is built into each item. If you buy more than one item, you could end up paying a delivery charge several times over. For delivery charges off the mainland, and for countries outside the UK, place your order as normal and you will receive an automated response from the website. We will contact you afterwards with the cost of sending the goods to enable you to agree (or not) to the additional charge before we send them and before your card is debited. We use Parcelforce for these deliveries, and due to the large quantity of goods we send abroad, we have been able to negotiate special prices.

Pricing

All our prices are in pounds sterling and include value added tax at 17.5%. For the Channel Isles and countries outside the E.U. this may be deducted - simply divide the price by 1.175. For example an item marked at £20 would only cost £17.02. Exchange rates vary and are determined by your credit card provider at the time of purchase. Carriage

We have made extensive inquiries to find the best price for shipping and use Parcelforce. We have negotiated very special prices but overseas shipping rates can be complicated so the prices noted below are a rough guide of charges:

Items such as cooks' knives (Global, Henckels and Stellar Sabatier) are relatively inexpensive to send and large savings can be made on the prices charged in other countries. Electrical goods in Europe are 220V - 240V, therefore they are normally suitable although they are supplied with a U.K. plug.

As a rough guide typical delivery costs to North America are:

2 kilos = £18
5 kilos = £25
10 kilos = £35
20 kilos = £55

Delivery takes about 5 - 10 working days. Please mark deliveries as 'UNCHECKED' when you sign for them in case there has been damage in transit.

Denby is one of the most popular items we send but it is quite heavy and requires a considerable amount of packaging so it can cost quite a lot to send, however it is a lot less expensive on our site to start with which usually makes it well worth while. As an example, a 20 piece set costing £153 would cost about £42 to deliver. Dunoon mugs are also very popular items and sample delivery prices are: 1 set of 3 mugs - about £26.50. Electrical goods in Europe are 220V - 240V, therefore are normally not suitable for North America.
